Acupuncture

Acupuncture isn’t just needles, but the majority of treatments do involve the insertion of very fine single-use needles into the skin. This practice helps to harmonize the body and mind to ease the central nervous system. More about acupuncture here…

Cupping and Gua sha

Fire cups, vacuum cups, and gua sha are other fantastic tools to loosen up areas of tight muscles and tissue, promote lymphatic drainage, and increase circulation. If indicated, cupping or gua sha may be incorporated into your treatment.

Moxibustion

Moxa (or moxibustion) is the combustion of an herb — usually dried and aged leaves of mugwort — on top of acupuncture points to penetrate warmth into the body. Other herbs are prescribed to take internally or apply elsewhere on the body in the form of linaments, oils, soaks, or steams.
